Native Wildlife

Native Wildlife- Native Wildlife Need Different kind of support and help.

Activity 2: The Plastic Pledge [4 points]

On your blog, tell us what they think about Countdown’s decision to stop using plastic bags.
Katea/Aunt-
I think Countdown's decision to stop using plastic bags is a good and positive step towards a better environment, not only does it enforce better shopping habits but will also encourage awareness in our community's.

Activity 3: Restricted Access [10 points]

On your blog, tell us what you think about the government’s decision to restrict the number of tourists able to visit this special site. Is it fair? Be sure to tell us why you feel the way that you do.

I think that this decision is fair because a lot of tourists come and they wreck all the nice things that are there as well as they are affecting our environment.

I was so impressed to see that you had finished all of your SLJ posts. It has been a real privilege to be part of the team that has read them. Well done on all your hard work and thank you for your kind words.

Great interview with your aunt. Did you get a chance to ask her what alternatives she will be using now that bags have been banned? We have reusable shopping bags that we keep in the car at all times. That way we don't forget them when we go shopping.

I agree about access to Machu Picchu being restricted. It is a shame that people wont be able to visit it though. Do you think there is an alternative way that people could still see it with out damaging it?

    Ngā mihi,
    Izzy
