Day 4

Activity 1: The Southern Lights [4 points]

On your blog, use the word ‘LIGHTS’ to write an acrostic poem about the Southern Lights. Be as creative as you can!

Activity 2: The Seven Sisters [4 points]

On your blog, write a short summary of the book. What was it about? Try to summarise the story in 6-8 sentences.

The Summary/Story of the Seven Brother including Mitai and the Wahine/Woman.

Once there was a boy from a village called Maketu he lived with his seven older brother’s.
Out of all the brother the youngest and wisest boy was Mitai, Mitai lived with his seven older brother’s.

One day Mitai and his seven brothers were out hunting on the Pukemaire hill then suddenly they heard
the most beautiful singing he ever heard.

As they were walking they were leading up to the sound and all of a sudden they looked up
and saw seven beautiful looking Wahine/Woman. All of Mitai’s brother’s fell in love but one Mitai.
Mitai knew that these Wahine/Woman were not human but Patupaiarehe/Fairy.

Immediately, they lead the Wahine/Woman to their house so they can become husband and wife.
Mitai was not liking this at all, His brother’s never went hunting neither did they leave the house.
They only left the house to get Kaimoana/Seafood for their wives.

Mitai was not liking this at all!!! He warned his brother’s but yet his brother’s did not take any notice
of Mitai than Mitai got to a point were he told his brother’s that there wives are doing nothing to feed them
or look after them. Then Mitai warned them once more saying you need to look out.

The seven brother’s listened to Mitai, Mitai thought to spy on the Wahine/Woman he saw them in a
circle combing there golden hair and talking Mitai went a little bit closer to listen to what they were talking
about he heard the Wahine/Woman make a plan to starve his brother’s. As soon as he heard he went
home and told his brother the new’s the brothers believed him and so they decided to trap them and
send them to the Sky mother so she can send them far away.

Activity 3: Crazy, Cool Clouds [5 points]

I think I would choose pic number 3...

I would pick pic 3 because that look's more interesting. In picture number 3 I see a man's head that look's kind of like a triangle, I see a mustache two eyebrow's,two eye's no nose and half a mouth.
